Crocodilians - Crocodylia



Crocodilians, along with birds, are the only survivors of the once-prevalent Archosauria. Crocodilians are the most advanced surviving reptiles; many of their features are more similar to mammals or birds than to other reptiles.
There are three families of Crocodylia, with 23 species total.

Turtles - Testudines



Turtles, tortoises, and terrapins have been on earth since the Triassic Period, approximately 200 million years ago. Their exact origins are uncertain. There is over 200 species of turtles in the world.

Lizards - Lacertilia



Lizards are the most extraordinarily diverse group of all reptiles. The lacertilia is a huge group that comprises 4,610 species and is the largest living group of reptiles. Lacertilians have adapted themselves to live in almost every environment in the world.

Snakes - Serpentes



Snakes have no arms, legs, and no voice. They lack eyelids, external ears, and most have only one functioning lung. Though snakes are without these features, they have survived for thousands of years, and have become highly successful in a great variety of ecological roles. Snakes are found around the world in practically every kind of habitat and in all regions except near the poles.
