To search my image collection, just type in a few descriptive words and hit
the 'enter' key or click on the "Search the image collection" button.
This search engine returns images that contain all the words in your query,
refining or narrowing your search is as simple as adding more words to the search
terms you have already entered. Your new query will return a smaller subset of
the images found for your original "too-broad" query. You can also use boolean
expresions AND and OR to further refine your search.
Almost all image information is indexed, thus you can search by
name, location, date, and description. In adition, my images are keyworded also by
systematic order and geographical region.
Some examples of the search:
1. a query birds europe returns all images of birds taken in Europe
2. a query 2003 canada mammals returns all images of mammals taken in
Canada in 2003
3. a query calidris returns all species of genus calidris
The search is *NOT* case sensitive.
Typing in ? (or together with a category, f.i. ? insects) returns all the images, which
I have problem with the identification. Any help is welcome.
