December was very cold and there was an incredible amount of snow. I made several photo trips. The most
productive was to "Velky Draziak" pond in our capital - Bratislava. This is a very well know place for
wintering birds - especially Swans, Coots, and Mallards. Often there is however some other species with them. This
year there was a male of Common Pochard and a pair of Common Loons. While Loons were not cooperating, the Pochard
was very well. Bellow are two best images - The Pochard and a Coot
