I have chosen 2 photos for September. May be not best photos I have taken but very valuable for me.
The first is a photo of an Alpine Butterwort. This carnivorous plant grows in moist rocks in mountains
and is not easy to find. This was the first time I have seen them. I can not wait for spring to
photograph them in bloom.
The second photo I have chosen is the photo of a Lesser White-toothed Shrew. It is a photo of a dead animal
I found while going out from my work - an integrated pulp and paper mill. She was laying on a pavement, freshly dead.
It seems that it is one of very few reports of this species for this region.
