FEATURED PHOTOS OF THE MONTH #42 (February 2007) |
Aegithalos caudatus, Long-tailed Tit
February 2, 2007; Bobrovnik, Liptovsky Mikulas, Slovakia
This was my nemesis bird for years. They come ocassionaly to bird feeders but they never visited mine. So when
I saw a flock of these birds foraging near my feeder I followed them and one bird posed for me for an instant,
which was just enough to get one burst of shots. Only one frame - presented here - was sharp though.
Parus caeruleus, Blue Tit
February 2, 2007; Bobrovnik, Liptovsky Mikulas, Slovakia
This Blue Tit was taken at my feeder. I had set up a beautiful feeder this winter, early enough, always full of sunflower
seeds. Unfortunately, this winter was exceptionaly mild and there were only chickadees coming to feed. As a result,
this is one of the best Blue Tits I have in my archive.
