Nikon Sportstar II

I don't know if all wildlife and nature photographers use a binocular, but I do. I have started as a birdwatcher, but later I have found that those powerful, high twilight factor, and of course heavy binoculars are not very practical for me. My first binocular was older 7x35 Sunset binocular. It had amazingly wide angle of view. I don't remember the number but it was more than 500 feet per 1000 Yds. From that time I love true wide-angle binoculars.

Recently I have been searching for some compact size wide-angle binocular, which would be able to serve me for some years. One of the best, for its performance and price, available on the market today, is in my opinion 8x25 Nikon Sportstar III binoc. It has multicoated lenses for a bright image, close focusing distance (less than 2.5 m), ultra wide field of view (429 ft at 1000 Yds!), it is waterproof, solid built and still small enough to fit in my camera bag. It also comes with 25-year warranty, so I don't have to worry about any mechanical defects which may show up. So there is one more nice piece of equipment which will be always with me in my Nova 5 (or more often in my hands) and despite its not-the-best performance if you use it against the light (probably because of technical limitations of compact binoculars) I can only highly recommend it.
